Formed in 2004, Cygnet Yarns has grown into a company dedicated to bringing crafters
yarns of the highest quality at competitive prices. This Bradford, West Yorkshire based
company offers a fantastic range of yarns from 100% pure new wool to  premium acrylics,
from 4Plys to our signature Super chunkys. Our yarns are fresh and innovative offering
customers a varied range of bright, neutral and pastel colour palettes in our solids and fun
colour popping brights in our printed yarns. We offer yarns to suit all tastes, budgets and skill
levels. Our knitting yarn ranges and patterns collections are designed to inspire and excite our community of crafters at an affordable price

In 2022 we joined the UK Hand Knitting Association - UK Hand Knitting is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to promoting hand knitting and associated yarn crafts and supporting independent retailers.

The UKHKA have developed a nationwide network of volunteers who pass on their skills to encourage newcomers to learn to knit or crochet at craft shows and other events across the UK.

We celebrated our  20th Anniversary in 2024!!! We are hugely grateful for the support and love for Cygnet so a BIG THANK YOU to all.

Finally onto a new chapter... Cygnet Yarns are to join the James C Brett & Wendy Wools family, bringing together three trusted names in the knitting and crochet community.
This merger represents an exciting new chapter, combining the strengths, expertise, and heritage of 3 brands. Our shared commitment remains unchanged: to provide you with high-quality yarns, inspiring collections, and the excellent service you have come to expect.
For our customers, it's business as usual. You can continue to enjoy your favourite yarns, patterns, and colour ranges while we work to bring you an even broader selection of products and exciting new developments in the future.
We are committed to making this transition as smooth as possible, with as little disruption to orders or customer service. Our teams are working closely together to ensure you continue to receive the same reliable support and quality you know and trust.
The Cygnet brand will leave its longstanding home in Bradford and relocate to the newly extended, James C Brett warehousing in Bingley, where the 2 brands will operate as one from August 1st 2026... Yorkshire Day!!!!
