Hello! My name is Helen from Emkatcrochet and here is a little about me.
I learnt to crochet in October 2016. Me and my family were on holiday in Wales and I bought a hook, some wool and just watched a video on youtube and made a hat!
Since then I have had a hook in my hand everyday (nearly) and my house has been overtaken by wool! I have fallen head over heels in love with crochet and love making and designing patterns for people to create beautiful things from!
I am a Mum to 2 beautiful girls and also a mummy to 2 pooches! Poppy the Jackapoo who is my little black fluffy princess and Marley our Schweenie who is a smelly bog troll but we love him! I am also a wife to my amazing and supportive husband who lets me crochet everyday!

Kate is a crochet designer from Cambridgeshire, UK. She first picked up her crochet hook in 2015 and hasn't looked back, teaching herself the basics and then quickly moving into pattern designing. In 2016 she opened her Etsy shop and started sharing her creations on Instagram, crochet soon became more than just a hobby when she began designing for magazines, yarn brands and in 2021 released her very own crochet book 'Quick Crochet'. Kate's style is all about simple designs using lots of colour, appealing to beginners and more experienced crocheters alike.

Hey! My name is Gemma also known as ‘Little Gems Craft Shop’ on Instagram! I absolutely adore crocheting! My grandma taught me the basics just before I fell pregnant with my daughter and after watching lots of YouTube videos I was hooked! I started my instagram account in 2019 along with my Etsy shop where I sell my patterns and lots of crochet goodies! I love to crochet with lots of different colours, especially rainbow colours as they make me happy! My favourite things to crochet are granny squares! Alongside my crochet I love to make and sell crochet hooks. My daughter gets paid in chocolate to model my pieces for me and she gets so excited when she sees herself in magazines or on yarny websites! She’s my inspiration! I managed to convince my husband to have the spare room as my craft room - not sure how I managed that one!! But I love it it’s my little sanctuary!

Hi, I’m Helen and I have been crafting in one form or another from as far back as I can remember. I grew up in a household where “making things” was a big part of life; as a child my favourite stores were the craft shop and the bookstore, this is still true today! Now my own children are grown I have the time to indulge my love of creating and sharing my designs with others. I am lucky to live in the beautiful Scottish Highlands, surrounded by stunning scenery for daily inspiration.

Hi! I’m Zoe and I’m a crochet designer living in West Yorkshire. I love creating colourful and cheerful home décor, accessories and garments. I enjoy introducing interesting textures or techniques to my designs, while keeping the patterns as clear and straightforward to follow as possible. My current favourite Cygnet yarn is Cygnet DK, for its wide range of available colours.
