On the seventh month of #knitmas Cygnet Yarns gave to me: seven scarves and accessoriiiiieees...
In the warm summer months, you don't want to be knitting anything huge so scarves and accessories are the perfect projects to get stuck into this month.
You can also squeeze them into your hand luggage to while away the hours on flights. Currently when travelling with most airlines you can pack knitting needles, crochet hooks and even small scissors in your hand luggage - they're not currently classed as a dangerous weapon. But if somebody tries to speak to me when I'm in the middle of counting a lace pattern, I can think of a number of ways that a cable needle could be used to cause harm!
You can view the current guidelines on what you can and cannot pack in your hand luggage here.
SHIRAZ COWL AND WRIST WARMERS
This fab pattern was featured in Let's Knit magazine and is one of our most downloaded patterns. It makes a perfect gift so get your pins out for this one!
CHUNKY TEABAG HAT
This simple hat can be knit in less than a couple of hours. It's ridiculously easy and looks super funky. Apologies for the grumpy model - she was trying not to laugh :D
I adore this pattern! If you know any dog walkers or keen runners who need to keep their ears warm in winter, this is an ideal stocking filler!
COLOUR BLOCK COWL
The colour combo on this cowl is just beaut! The textured stitch makes it look far more complicated than it really is!
Designed by the very fabulous Louise Walker (aka Sincerely Louise) this knits up in no time in super chunky yarn.
This old favourite is here to stay. Super effective and crazy levels of squidgy goodness.
easiest ever wrist warmers
Perfect for the school run, cyclists and anybody who constantly has cold hands like me! This is the simplest wrist warmer pattern available!
